Ideagen EHS Users responsible for managing safe behaviors.

Access to Behavior Based Safety is required.

The Behavior-Based Safety module allows users to manage and track safe behaviors in a workplace.  Analyzing safe behaviors and observations can be done for each teamwork area. Users can access corporate or facility level dashboards, create and manage work areas, and report observations. In addition, users have the ability to view observation summary data and behavior lists. 

This article outlines how to get started with the Observations in the Behavior Based Safety Module. 

To make Observations easier to learn, this article is split into four sections so that you can either walk through the steps in sequence or you can jump to the section relevant to what you are doing in Ideagen EHS:

1. Accessing the Observation Summary

1. Navigate to Modules and then BBS.
2. Click View Observation Summary.
3. Click on the name of the Observation.

2. Reporting a Peer-to-Peer Observation

Users can report observations and identify if the behaviors were Safe or At-Risk, whether feedback was given to the individual and enter comments.  To do this:

1. Navigate to Modules and then BBS.
2. Click Report Observation Data - Peer to Peer.
3. Complete the required fields.

4. Click Save.

TIP! Alternatively, you can add an observation from the main observation page by selecting the New button.

3. Reporting a Group Observation 

As well as Peer-to-Peer, you are also able to complete Group Observations.

1. Navigate to Modules and then BBS.
2. Click on the Report Observation Data -Group.
3. Complete the required fields.

4. Click Save.
