How to Assign Controls to a Hazard

The purpose of controls is to reduce the likelihood or impact of a risk occurring. In risk assessments, controls are the actions or measures put in place to mitigate a risk or reduce its potential impact. The goal of controls is to manage risks effectively and efficiently.
This article outlines how to assign a control to a hazard and is split into the following sections:
1. Define Hazards & Assign Risk Rating
- Click Modules and then Risk Assessment.
- Click Manage.
- Click on the Title of the Risk Assessment.
- Browse to the Tasks / Hazards tab.
- Click on the name of the hazard.
- Browse to the Risk Rating section.
- Click Add.
- Enter the risk rating details.
- Set Are There Existing Controls? to Yes.
- Complete the additional fields to define the controls.
- Click Save.
- Click Save again.
