How to Perform an Ergonomic Assessment
Who is this article for?Ideagen EHS users performing an ergonomic assessment.
Ergonomic assessment creation access is required.
Once an ergonomic assessment record has been created the next step is to perform the assessment.
During the assessment you will identify the type of assessment, who performed the assessment and also any follow-up actions that need to be implemented.
This article outlines how to perform the assessment and is split into the following sections:

1. How to Perform an Ergonomic Assessment
- Click Modules and then Ergonomics.
- Click Manage Assessments.
- Click on the link to open the assessment.
- Review the details and location information and make any changes that are needed.
- Browse to the Analysis section.
- Click New.
- Select the type of analysis:

| EJMS - Lifting Evaluation | EJMS - Lifting Evaluation is a critical tool for identifying and addressing ergonomic risks associated with lifting tasks in order to prevent musculoskeletal injuries and disorders in the workplace. |
| NOISH Lifting | The NIOSH Lifting Equation is widely used in ergonomics and occupational health to assess the risk of lower back injuries associated with manual lifting tasks and to guide the design of safer work practices and equipment. |
- Complete the required fields.
- Click Save.
2. How to Raise an Action Item
- Click Modules and then Ergonomics.
- Click Manage Assessments.
- Click on the link to open the assessment.
- Review the details and location information and make any changes that are needed.
- Browse to the Action Items section.
- Click New.
- Complete the required fields.
- Click Save.
3. How to Perform an Assessment Review
- Click Modules and then Ergonomics.
- Click Manage Assessments.
- Click on the link to open the assessment.
- Review the details and location information and make any changes that are needed.
- Browse to the Assessment Review section.
- Click New.
- Complete the required fields.
- Click Save.
