An ergonomic assessment is an evaluation of the design and arrangement of a workspace, equipment, tools, and environment to ensure they are optimized for human use. The purpose of an ergonomic assessment is to identify any factors that may cause physical strain, discomfort, or injury to the workers, and to provide recommendations for improvements to minimize or eliminate these risks.
Based on the assessment, the expert will provide recommendations for adjustments or changes to improve the ergonomics of the workspace. These may include changing the placement of equipment, adjusting the height of work surfaces, modifying tools or equipment, and training workers on proper posture and movements.
The goal of an ergonomic assessment is to create a workspace that is safe, comfortable, and efficient for the workers.
