How to Create a New Permit Record

Permit creation access is required.
A permit is an official document or authorization that grants permission to perform a specific activity, operation, or task. Permits are typically issued by regulatory agencies, such as government agencies or environmental organizations, to ensure that activities are conducted safely and in compliance with relevant regulations or standards.
It is important the permits are managed within the organization so that activities are carried out within the appropriate legal and regulatory frameworks.

1. Permit Tabs
The table below outlines the information stored in each tab of a permit record:
Tab | Description |
---|---|
Details | The main details of the permit, including the type and issue details. |
Contacts | Key contacts associated with the permit, such as internal owners and external contacts. |
Document Control | Locations of the permit documentation and any copies that have been posted in key locations. |
History/Communications Log | Any communications related to the permit. |
Scope | Details on areas of the business or processes that the permit applies to. |
Conditions | Information covering conditions that affect the implementation of the permit. |
Tasks | Tasks associated with the permit (e.g. registration with agencies or renewal activities). |
Cost | Costs associated with the permit (e.g. license fee or renewal fees). |
Notifications | Notifications setup in the system to alert users on changes to the permit (e.g. notifications when the permit expires). |
Documents | Documents related to the permit. |
2. How to Create a New Permit Record
- Click Modules and then Licenses & Permits.
- Click Add New.
- Enter the required details.
- Click Save.
Note: You cannot add information to the other tabs until the initial Permit data has been saved.
