How to Create an Event

Event Management access is required.
Event management is the process of planning, organizing, and coordinating events or activities that are related to environmental, health, and safety issues in a workplace or community.
The goal is to promote a safe and healthy workplace, prevent accidents and incidents, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
This article outlines how to create a new event and is split into the following sections:
1. Types of Events
The table below outlines the events that can be managed:
| Event | Description |
|---|---|
| Agency Visit | The event raised will manage the actions relating to the visit of an agency or authority. |
| Complaint | A complaint event will manage the information gathering and actions associated with a complaint. |
| General EHS | General EHS events can be managed. |
| Inquiry | An event, such as a detailed investigation into near miss or hazard can be tracked as an inquiry event. |
| Late Submission | Last submission focuses on instances where documentation or actions were not completed within the required timeframe. |
| Permit Exceedance | Permit exceedance allows instances where work has overstepped assigned permits or licences. |
2. How to Create an Event
- Click Modules and then Event Management.
- Click Report New Event.
- Enter a clear and concise title and select the event type.
Note: Additional fields will be displayed once an event type has been selected. These fields are specific to the event type.
- Enter the required information.
- Click Save.
