Creating a Course

Access to the Learning Management modulewill be required follow these steps.
The Learning Management module enables an organization to manage a catalog of courses. A course is an instance of a topic or subject with specific training objectives. The courses can be created by the organization in the Platform or integrated by a content provider.
This article outlines:
1. How to Create a Course
- Click on the Module Icon.
- Click on the Learning Management menu item.
- Click on the Course Catalog menu item.
- Click on the Add button.
- Complete all the fields and click on the Save button.
Course Field List
- Course ID: unique identifier for a course
- Course Title: a clear concise name for a course
- Description: a short description of the course
- Category: a categorization for the course
- Is this course related to legal compliance?: select "yes" if the course pertains to legal compliance. select "no" if the course does not pertain to legal compliance.
- Location(s) in which the course is available: list of locations where the course is available to employees.
- Do you want to establish passing criteria? select "yes", if there is a passing criterion, selecting "yes" will generate an additional question, "Passing Percentage" enter the passing percentage.. select "no", if there is not a passing criterion.
- Duration: the number of hours and minutes in which the course takes place.
- Pre-Requisite Course: select the prerequisite course if applicable.
- Is recertification required for this course?: if "yes" enter the years and days for the recertification required. select "no" if not applicable.
- Course Primary Owner Name: select the course owner name from the list if applicable.
- Status: selecting "active" will make the course available to users, selecting "no" will make the course not visible to users when scheduling a session.
- Version: course version is auto-generated and updated based on the updates made by the user.
- Effective Date: the selected date when the course is effective.
- Notes: optional relevant or useful information about the course.
