How to Create a New Sample Plan

A sample plan serves as a documented strategy outlining the approach to collecting and analyzing samples for evaluating workplace hazards. The purpose of a sample plan is to ensure that data collection is conducted in a systematic and representative manner, providing reliable and accurate information about potential exposure to hazardous substances or conditions.

1. Types of Sample Plans
Sample Type | Description |
---|---|
Planned Samples | A sample that belongs in a Sample plan. This can either be done for baseline/periodic. Planned Sample will receive credit against the Facility Sample Plan. |
Diagnostic Samples | Not tied to/counted against any Sample plans. |
Field Blank Samples | These are necessary for Chemical Samples and can also be created once a planned/diagnostic sample has been created. |
Copy Existing Sample | Allows user to make a copy of an already existing sample. |
2. How to Create a New Sample Plan
- Click Modules and then Industrial Hygiene.
- Click Create New Sample.
- Select the type of sample and the sample equipment:
- Enter the required information.
- Click Save.
3. How to Create a Sample Plan on an Existing Record
- Click Modules and then Industrial Hygiene.
- Click Sample Plan List.
- Open a sample record.
- Scroll to the "Associated Sample Plan Record(s)" section.
- Click New.
- Enter the required information.
- Click Save.
