This article outlines key updates in version 23.1, combining both product-level changes and configurable enhancements. In the Qualitative Risk Assessment module setup, users can now effortlessly create default values for a set of indices, streamlining the process.
On the configurable side, end users will benefit from essential additions. Detection Limit and Detection Code are now mandatory, ensuring vital information is consistently captured.
Additionally, the Direct Read & Direct Monitoring Duration type calculation is configurable, allowing users to tailor the software to meet their specific needs. For enhanced data accuracy, all fields in the Equipment Details section under Equipment And Controls are now configurable as mandatory for Wipe Samples, with the inclusion of new required fields for comprehensive information. User customization is extended to renaming dropdown field values, offering flexibility in the Monitoring Equipment Owned By field.
The Post Calibration Flow rate field is now mandatory, ensuring critical information is consistently provided. A new Task Description field has been added to the Sample Detail Screen, providing additional context. As always, our commitment remains to offer configurable solutions and product-level changes, ensuring a tailored and efficient experience for users interacting with our software

1. Creation of default values for the set of indices in Qualitative Risk Assessment module setup
In the existing system, there is no default value set for the indices in Qualitative Risk Assessment. The purpose is to introduce default values for Frequency Index and Exposure Index to streamline and simplify the process when updating Associate Stressor.

- User can now make a single value as default value for the 2 fields and same value will be auto populate in the respective fields for Associate Stressor.

2. Inclusion of 'Detection Limit' and 'Detection Code' for user selection
In the existing system, the Detection Limit and Detection Code fields are non-mandatory. The purpose is to address concerns where global locations may have manual input of results by site personnel, leading to instances where they may forget to enter the Detection Limit and Detection Code, impacting the accuracy and completeness of the results.
2.1 Configuration Details

2.2 Enhanced System
- The both fields are now made mandatory.
- The detection code will display as 'Select' by default.

3. Make the Direct Read & Direct Monitoring Duration type calculation Configurable
In the existing system, the calculation for direct monitoring and direct read instruments results is based on specific conditions, particularly related to the question Was the employee exposed to the analytic throughout his or her entire work shift? For Direct Read & Direct Monitoring with a Time-Weighted Average (TWA) duration type, if the response is Yes, the Lab Amount is set equal to the Sample Result. If the response is No, the calculation becomes (Lab Result × Shift Duration) / Shift Length. If the Duration Type is anything other than TWA, the calculation is simplified to Lab Amount equaling the Sample Result, regardless of the question's response.
3.1 Configuration Details

- If the response for the question is yes and any duration type, then Lab Amount = Sample Result
- If the response for the question is No and any duration type , then (Lab result X Shift duration )/shift Length.

4. Updating all fields within the Equipment Details section under Equipment and Controls as mandatory for Wipe Samples and ensuring the availability of newly required fields
In the current system, both Media and Surface Area are mandatory fields. The purpose is to address the issue where the default selection is the first option in the dropdown, potentially leading users to forget selecting the correct item and increasing the likelihood of inputting incorrect data.

4.2 Enhanced System
- Other than Media, Surface Area, Calculated Surface Area and Comment fields, the other fields (Surface Area Measurement, Surface Type) will configurable for Mandatory / Non Mandatory.
- New fields Surface Sampled Description and Area Description will be available in the same screen and will be configurable for Show / Hide and Mandatory / Non Mandatory.

5. Adding the ability for users to rename the dropdown field value for the "Monitoring Equipment Owned By" field.
The existing system restricts the dropdown values for the Monitoring Equipment Owned By field to Corporate, This Site, Borrowed from other Site, and Contractor. The purpose is to rename the equipment owner and broaden ownership options to include Consultants and Rental.
