1. Features
1.1. Public configuration to control approval workflow
In the current system, a logged-in user can designate themselves as the owner of any step in the approval workflow and be assigned to multiple steps. This raises concerns about the integrity of the assessment approval process, as the same user or the one creating the assessment can approve it. To address this, a new feature has been introduced to provide system administrators with greater flexibility in defining the approval process.
The enhanced system introduces a new public configuration to control the approval workflow. When this configuration is enabled, the system prevents the logged-in user from being assigned to any of the workflow steps. Additionally, it ensures that the same user cannot be assigned to multiple workflow steps. If users attempt to perform a selection that violates the configuration, a failure message is displayed.
1.2. Task description is mandatory
A new feature has been introduced to enable administrators to make the Task/Activity Description field mandatory, ensuring assessors provide more detailed information about the task.
The updated functionality introduces a new public configuration to control this setting. When the configuration is enabled, the Task/Activity Description field will be mandatory. If the configuration is disabled, the field will remain optional.
1.3. Draft approval status now available for risk assessments
In the current system, there is no option to filter assessments that are in Draft Approval Status. To address this, a new feature has been introduced to enable the creation of a view in the Manage Assessments screen for assessments with an approval status of 'Draft'. The view filter has been improved to include Draft Approval status in the options, along with other statuses.
