Who is this article for?

Users who want to delete courses based on their assigned permissions and location scope.

Some permissions are required depending on the type of deletion.

This article explains how to delete a course and which permissions allow users to delete their own courses or courses created by others.

1. Required permissions

The following permissions under session management determine which courses a user can delete:

• Self-course delete – Allows a user to delete courses they have created, within their assigned location scope.
• Other course delete – Allows a user to delete courses created by other users, provided they have scope to that location.

2. Deleting a course

1. Select the location for which you have scope.
2. Open the Learning Management module and go to the Course Catalog.
3. Open the list of existing courses.
4. Locate the course you want to delete. Click Delete and confirm the action.
