Adding material safety data sheets/safety data sheets (MSDS) to chemical management
Who is this article for?
Users who want to upload or attach MSDS/SDS within the chemical management module.
Access to the Chemical Management module is required.
This article explains how to upload MSDS/SDS files either during a new chemical approval request or by updating an existing chemical record.
Note: Permission to create a chemical approval and manage chemicals are required.
1. Adding MSDS from chemical approval – new request
- Navigate to Chemical Management and open Chemical Approval.
- Click New Request and then click Click to attach SDS.
- When the two options appear, select the second option if the SDS is already available and click Next.
- Click Choose File and select the SDS file.
- Click Attach.
- A success message will appear once the file has uploaded.
- Click OK to continue to the detailed approval screen.
2. Adding MSDS from manage chemicals
- Navigate to Chemical Management and select Manage Chemicals.
- Click Add/Overwrite SDS.
- Select Add New SDS.
- Click Attach to upload the SDS file.
- Click OK. The uploaded SDS will now appear under the Current SDS List.
