Accurate management of user permissions is vital for controlling Incident Management effectively. In Ideagen systems, Admin Users must assign correct role-based permissions for actions like closing or reopening incidents. This guide offers a simple, step-by-step process to identify a user’s Incident Management Role and set the right permissions, helping Admins maintain smooth incident workflows.
How to Change Incident Management Role Settings
1. To check someone's Incident Management Role, Admin Users can go to Setup and select Security.
2. Then, click on Users. Here, you can view and review the User Profile as shown in the screenshot below.
3. Once you’ve identified the Role, go back to Setup and under Security, click on Roles.
4. You will now see Incident Management. Select the relevant Role, as shown below.
6. Click on the 'Permissions' tab.
7. Choose the Incident Type you want to update.
8. Then, enable the 'Incident Closure/Reopen Change Incident Status' checkbox.
9. Finally, click Save to apply the changes, as shown below.
