Deactivating an app in the App Builder without deleting It
Who is this article for?
Users who wish to deactivate an app in the App Builder rather than delete it permanently.
App Builder access is required.
The App Builder offers the option to inactivate an application instead of deleting it.
Inactivation is advisable because:
- It securely preserves historical data.
- You may reactivate the application at any time, if required.
- It prevents inadvertent data loss that may result from permanently deleting an application.
This method supports maintaining system integrity while providing the flexibility to restore the application in the future.
1. Deactivating an application
Please follow the steps outlined below:
- Open the App Builder module.
- Select the Specific Application – Modify icon.
- Click on App Settings.
- Change the Status field to “Inactive.”
- Click Save to confirm the changes.
Once saved, the application will be inactivated, rendering it unavailable for active use and visible only to the developers of this application. However, it can be reactivated at any time by reverting the status to “Active.”
