Mobile Pro now allows you to set your default location preference directly from the app, eliminating the need to access the Web platform and reducing repetitive manual location selection for field workers.

Understanding the location preference feature

Previously, the Web platform allowed you to set a default location preference that was automatically applied upon login. However, Mobile Pro had no equivalent capability, forcing field users to manually select their location at every session. Users who operated exclusively in the field without regular access to the Web interface had no way to configure their location preference, creating an unnecessary dependency on the Web platform for a basic personalisation task.

The location preference feature enables you to set your default location preference directly from Mobile Pro. This preference is shared bidirectionally between Mobile Pro and Web—a preference set in Mobile Pro is applied when you log into the Web platform, and vice versa. The preference is tied to your user account and persists across sessions and device changes.

Note: The entire Preference section requires active online connectivity. The Preference section is hidden when the device is offline, and attempting to use either feature under the section without connectivity will display an appropriate message.

Accessing the location preference setting

To access the location preference setting:

1. Open Mobile Pro and navigate to the Settings screen.
2. Locate the new Preference section.
3. Tap Location Preference.

The Language Preference menu has also been moved under the new Preference section.

Setting your default location

To set your default location:

1. Tap Location Preference to open the location picker screen.
2. Browse or search for your preferred location using the search field at the top of the list.
3. Select your desired location from the list of locations accessible to you based on your location scope.
4. Review the confirmation alert: "Save as default location for Mobile and Web? App data will refresh for this location."
5. Tap Yes to save the preference and refresh app data for the selected location, or tap No to dismiss the alert without saving.

After saving, the Settings screen reflects your newly selected location preference, and the app data automatically refreshes for that location. Upon your next Mobile Pro login, you are automatically directed to your preferred location without manual selection.

Updating your location preference

You can update or change your location preference at any time from the Settings screen. Simply follow the same steps to select a new location, and the preference will be updated across both Mobile Pro and Web platforms.

Multilingual support is included—location preference labels and confirmation messages are displayed in your configured language.
