This article outlines feature changes and enhancements introduced with this update.
1. Features
1.1. Sample Results Display
Previously, the Sample Results in the Manage Samples screen shows only for Air Monitoring, Passive, and Noise samples. We wanted to improve efficiency by providing a more comprehensive interface.
This enhancement:
- Lists results for other sample types (e.g. Blank, Direct Monitoring, Heat Stress) in the same place.
1.2. SEG Display
Currently, the SEG field was not available in the Sample List, Sample Details, and Assessment Details screens. We were keen to save users time by providing users with valuable information on SEGs at a glance.
This enhancement:
- Adds a "SEG" column to the Manage Samples list.
1.3. Sample Duration Type Display
Prior to 24.1, the Assessments list didn't have the option to display sample Duration Type. We wanted to bring this additional information in for quick reference, and to allow sorting and filtering.
This enhancement:
- Adds a "Duration Type" column to the Assessments list.
1.4. LAverage Display
In the current version, "%" is the unit for Dose and "dB" is the unit for LAvg. With this change, we wanted to reduce ambiguity in the interpretation of data.
This enhancement:
- Adds a restriction for the unit used.
If the values are in dB, Results and Results/Projected also need to be in dB. If the values are in %, Results and Results/Projected also need to be in %.
1.5. Individual Records for SEG
Existing functionality creates a single Sample Plan record for all agents in the SEG. We wanted to offer a more granular view of the chemicals for more accurate data.
This enhancement:
- Adds a "Stressor(s)" column that displays the individual chemicals associated with the SEG.
1.6. SEG Employee Field Configuration
Our last enhancement made the Employee mandatory to track when Employees enter and leave a SEG. We received feedback from users who wanted this field to be optional.
This enhancement:
- Reintroduces the flexibility by allowing System Administrators to decide whether the field is mandatory or optional for their organisation.
1.7. LMax Field Configuration
We got reports that the "LMax" field under Result Noise Equipment in the Sample Results screen causes confusion as it's not used in any calculations.
This enhancement:
- Allows System Administrators to decide whether the field is shown or hidden.
1.8. Shift Length Field Configuration
Currently, "Shift Length" is not a mandatory field and some users would not change the preset default hours, leading to incorrect result calculations. We wanted to make sure that users are prompted to provide accurate information as to the shift length.
This enhancement:
- Allows System Administrators to decide whether the field is mandatory or optional.
Making the field mandatory will automatically clear the field of the preset value, prompting users to manually input the accurate shift length.
1.9. Due Date Field Configuration
Before 24.1, there was no option to extend the default "Due Date" of 2 months for IH System Generated Action items in Samples Results.
This enhancement:
- Sets the "Due Date" for system generated Action items to 3 months.
