1. Features

1.1. Assigning Sessions to Multiple Locations

Before, the Session Details page didn't offer an option to assign the session to multiple Locations and Employees. We wanted to reduce the slow loading times associated with the picklist approach and provide an easy option to bulk assign Employees to a session.

This enhancement:

• Addresses performance degradation and loading times.
• Allows the creation of up to 20000 assignments at once (calculated by multiplying the number of Employees by the number of Courses).
• Adds "All/Multiple Locations Employees" option under Assign to Category in the Manage Sessions List screen.

• Introduces option to check the status of Bulk Assignment requests.

• Sends a notification to the user creating the session once the autoassignment is complete.

1.2. Location-specific Training Plans

Prior to the update, Training Plans created at a specific Location would still be visible to all Locations and deleting them would do so for all Locations. We wanted to introduce greater flexibility in managing Plans to ensure they remain relevant and applicable to the specific setting they were originally created in.

This enhancement:

• Assigns Training Plans created at a specific Location to that Location only.

1.3. Session Creation Notifications

Currently, Notifications have a "Duration" field which shows the entire Session duration from the Training Start Date to Training End Date. We were keen to provide more accurate data to give trainers a better understanding of the time commitment required for each Course.

This enhancement:

• Adds a "Course Duration" data point to the Session Creation notification.

1.4. Notification Setup Optimization

Prior to 24.1, once the session was created, notifications were sent immediately to all Employees. This caused degradation in performance when saving the data.

This enhancement:

• Staggers notifications for assignments exceeding 1000 Employees throughout the day, offering a more controlled approach.

1.5. LMS Session Creation Optimization

Previously, users had the ability to create Sessions in a Location for a certain Level that included multiple Employees across all Locations. Creating Sessions at a Level created issues in the Sessions List, which caused confusion to users.

This enhancement:

• Restricts the ability to create Sessions at Level.
• Removes the "New" button when a Level is selected.
