This article outlines feature changes, enhancements, and fixes introduced with this update.
1. Features
1.1. Ability to perform additional assessments
Previously, the system did not support initiating additional risk assessments from within an existing assessment workflow.
We wanted to enable supervisors and managers to efficiently create or find and link records from any of the specialized risk assessment apps within AppBuilder, directly while conducting a risk assessment in the Risk Assessment module.
The enhanced system introduces:
-
New Menu for Lookup Setup - A new menu allows setup of linking apps which are to be shown in risk assessment.
While creating a new lookup, users can choose from a list of all active apps (similar to the 'Follow-on Apps' menu in OPM module).
Once selected, the app is configured for use in risk assessments. -
Other Assessments Tab - Placement and Visibility - The “Other Assessments” tab appears after the “Tasks/Hazards” tab.
It is visible only when enabled via configuration. Displays “Last Updated By” for consistency with other tabs. -
Other Assessments Tab List - Linked Other Assessments record list shows only essential info:
- Assessment Type (Form Name)
- ID (App Record ID)
- Linked Date
- Linked By
-
Tab Actions: Remove, Find, Create - Available only to users with Edit Risk Assessment permission.
Post-approval of the Risk Assessment Record, all actions in this tab are frozen. - Create New Record - Users can select an app, navigate to its detail screen, fill and save the record, then return to the Risk Assessment screen with the record automatically linked.
- Link and Find Existing Records - Users can choose an app, view a list of records based on the app's default view, then select and link records using checkboxes.
